We Wrestle Not With Flesh and Blood

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12

One of the biggest tricks that satan pulls on Christians and gets away with is deceiving us into believing that people are our enemies and that we are fighting with flesh and blood. He will move on people to talk about us or to do unkind things to us and then try to get us to look at those people as our enemies and the ones that we are fighting with. Today is the day that he needs to stop getting away with that in your life. Realize today that satan is your enemy. When attacks seem to be originating with people, turn your attention toward satan and come against him with the Word of God. Find the Scriptures that deal with the issue at hand, take authority over and rebuke him and then walk in love towards other people.

Set The Captives Free!

“…and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”

Isaiah 10:27

The Bible tells us that redemption has granted freedom from every sickness, every disease, every satanic oppression, bondage to sin, fear and everything that is a curse. However, as the body of Christ in the earth, we are the Enforcers and the Agents of administering freedom to those who will receive the Word of God that proclaims that freedom. We have been anointed of God. That means that His ability is both inside of us and rests upon us to bring to nothing all of these things that oppress man. We must have a mind that is made up to walk in this every day. As we begin our day, we should pray for people to receive this freedom that has been paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ. We should then be prepared with this gospel of freedom in our lips and our bodies ready to administer deliverance as the opportunities arise. We are anointed for this; we have been given the ability of God-that is why we are here.

Handling Tests and Trials

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13.

The word used for temptation is very simply defined as a test or a trial. Tests and trials come in various forms and their source is satan and this natural world, not the Lord. Tests and trials come to attempt to move us away from the will of God or to “locate” our faith and our “vital” position in Christ. They also arise out of unchecked lusts of the flesh (James 1:14). Satan wants to know where you stand and just how much he can get away with in your life. In dealing with them, we must do so according to the knowledge of the Word. The first and the last things that we should know is that they do not come from God (James 1:13) and that there is always a way of escape. The part in between requires knowledge of the fact that we must rejoice at the onset of a test or trial. We are to count it all joy because we know that the trying of our faith will produce patience, endurance, steadfastness, constancy, which will bring us to the place of being perfect and entire, lacking nothing. Not many of us are actually looking forward to tests and trials, however, when they come (and they come to ALL of us), we have to know how to deal with them according to the Word of God. If we follow the instructions from the Bible, we will overcome every test and trial that comes our way.

It’s All Ours

“He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”

Romans 8:32

There are many of God’s people that have had a difficult time in being convinced that He wants them to be blessed and prosperous in all things. This is one of the Scriptures that should permanently settle that. Think about it: if God spared not His best, His dearest, His Son to redeem us, then certainly He would freely give us everything else because there is nothing left that could even compare to the value of His Son, except for us. Let this Scripture secure a big part of your meditations. We don’t want to shortchange the Father in the love that He desires to express to every one of us.

I Can See Clearly Now

“For their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament; which veil is done away in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 3:14

If we are having a difficult time understanding the Scriptures it is because our focus is off base. If the Believer will look at the Word of God through his union with Christ, all things will be understood. Notice, this Scripture tells us that the veil has been removed “In Christ.” If we will discover our location and deal with the Word of God based on our being “in Christ”, we would discover just how much light the Father has placed us in. All of the New Testament Scriptures that have these words in them should be sought out and given priority by everyone who is born again: with Christ, with Him, in Him, in Whom, in Christ, through Him, through Christ, by Him, by Christ, by Whom, from Whom, of Christ and of Whom. I emphasize the fact that they must be given priority and must become the most important things for you EVERY DAY! The light will be so bright in you that you will wonder where you have been all your Christian life.

Be Aware of Those Tenses

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”

Ephesians 1:3

Many of you may remember being taught early on in English grammar about tenses; such as past, present and future. They caused us to see what period of time some action occurred. In the New Testament, when we look at the redemptive work of Christ and our partaking of the blessings of our redemption, the tenses become very important. Notice the “hath” in Ephesians 1:3. That lets us know that it is something that has already been done. When something has already been done, it means that it is an established fact. It also means that whatever relationship that we have to that established fact has to be dealt with in the same light. When we see things like this in the Scriptures, the Father is meaning for us to receive these things and adjust our entire lives; our thoughts, our speech, our actions and our expectations; so that they are aligned with what has already been done. As you read the New Testament, and in particular the writings of the Apostle Paul, keep this in mind; then adjust your life accordingly.

Jesus IS Coming!

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be; but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure.”

1 John 3:1-3

Jesus is coming! One of the major reasons for us to keep this in mind, as a hope set before us, is because of its purifying effect upon our lives. When our minds are focused on His coming, it keeps us alert to holy living, it is a “sin deterrent”, and it helps us to purify our lives. Why is that? One reason is because in our minds, we see ourselves being like Him when He comes; therefore we want to be like Him now so that we won’t be ashamed at His coming. To make it plain, it puts the fear of God in us! It causes reverence for Him to rise in our thinking and it keeps us at the business of the kingdom. We will find that we have no time for sin, sulking or aimless living which are major issues for people in the church right now. Let’s make sure that our focus is right so that we can help others do the same.

Workers With God

“For we are labourers together with God…”

1 Corinthians 3:9

Some of us probably have never really consciously thought of this, however it is true: it’s not all you and it’s not all God when it comes to the work of the kingdom. We are workers together with God. God is the Resource, The Power and The Head; we are the Body of Christ, the vehicle through which the work is carried out in the earth. You see, my friend, God needs YOU – HE NEEDS YOUR BODY! Because you have a body, it gives you the right and the authority to function in the earth. The Father is not going to get up from His Throne and come to earth to do the work and the Lord Jesus, the Resurrected Man Who is seated at the Father’s right hand, is there expecting His enemies to be made His footstool. Who is going to do that? We, the Body of Christ! So, don’t sit back waiting for God to do things in the earth. We have already been given our assignments and our commission; it is now up to us to do the work. Let’s get busy!

Magnify The Lord

“O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.”

Psalm 34:3

I can remember times that as children we would get a magnifying glass and put our hand underneath it or look at some insect or other object under it. We thought it was so cool as to how that glass would not only make the image larger, but it would also show in greater detail what we were looking at. We could see the lines in our hands more clearly or see in greater detail the pores in our skin, or we could see things on an insect that we couldn’t make out without that magnifying glass. Nothing else could be seen except for what was being looked at under that glass. How interesting it is that the Bible tells us to magnify the Lord. In all of the various things that we have to deal with in life, the Scripture encourages us to look at the Lord through the magnifying glass, not the challenges of life. Magnifying the Lord is giving Him the biggest place in our minds. We are to focus on the goodness of God to us through exalting His name. We are to see His mercy, His help, His protection, His provision, His answers and His faithfulness. When we set our minds on Him in this manner, He will always be larger than anything that we are dealing with. Hallelujah!

Give Your Angels Something To Do

“But to which of the angels said He at any time, Sit on My right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?”

Hebrews 1:13-14

The more that I read the Scriptures and think on them, the more I realize just how much the Father has made available for us to be like Him. He has given us all that He has, including the angels. They are our ministering (servant, if you will) spirits and they have been sent forth by the Father to minister for us who are the heirs of salvation. These servants have to be told what to do, for, according to Psalm 103:20, they do God’s commandments and they are listening for “the voice of His Word.” When commands are spoken according to the Word of God, according to the Bible, they go into motion to bring that “spoken” Word of God to pass. We, God’s people, are His voice in the earth and we have a voice in the realm of the spirit. We need to keep these angels busy by declaring the Word of God. They are assigned to supernaturally assist us. The more of the Word of God that we speak from the heart, the busier they will be and the more we will see the supernatural assistance of the kingdom of God in our lives. So…let’s get to talkin.’

Can God Count On You?

Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness:

but a faithful man who can find?" Proverbs 20:6

We are living in a time in which the Church, the Body of Christ, is in desperate need of people who are reliable; people who are faithful. The world in which we live has become extremely selfish and every day we are witnessing more and more self - centeredness in the lives of people around us. The Bible teaches us that we are in the world, but yet we are not of the world. We have a faithful God, One Who will always be the same - reliable and unchangeable - no matter what anyone else does or does not do. For Him to get the kind of things accomplished in and through the Church that He desires, He needs people that He can count on to be as He is - faithful. Will you be counted among those whom the Father can trust? Will you love and serve and be available for the Father to work through, even when so many in the House of God are choosing their own way? Will you be one who will raise up once again standards of excellent living and serving when the majority are willing to settle for handing the Father and the Church trash and yet expecting to be rewarded for it? What will you do, my brother, my sister? Can the Father count on you to believe Him for the reward for your kingdom labor when men don't recognize your work or even care? What will you do? The Father needs YOU!...and He needs YOU TODAY!

Stay In The Mirror

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”

James 1:22-25 New King James

The very simple way for us to keep the image of who we are in Christ crystal clear is to keep looking into the Word with the intent to do what it says. When we look into a natural mirror, we see all the details of what we look like. The longer we gaze, the more we see. The longer we gaze, the more aware we become of the details. If we take only a quick look and run away to do something else, we don’t see ALL the things that we need to adjust. That is how it is with the “mirror of the Word.” If we keep our eyes fixed, we get a clear picture of who we are. If things show up that are not representative of who we are, then we can both see those things and how to fix them so that we are in agreement in our minds and in our actions with who the Scripture says we are. If you haven’t, make the commitment to stay in the mirror; you’ll look better every day!

Expect To Win

“And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

Hebrews 6:11, 12

As those who are in Christ, winning is in our genes; it is hereditary. However, to walk victory out in an everyday, living and vital way, there are things that we have to put to work. We must be diligent. We must determine to incorporate the Word of God and an “active” prayer life every day. We must walk in faith, trusting God, declaring the Word from our mouths and acting in accordance with the Word of God. We must also walk in patience. We must practice being like the picture that we see of Jesus in Hebrews 13:8. We must learn to be steadfast, constant and in agreement with the Word of God at all times. It takes lots of practice, asking and receiving forgiveness and repentance, but, it is worth it to stay at it. You will at some point begin to see the change in you and this particular God-like characteristic develop in you. You will deal with every situation in life the same way that God Himself does. With this working in you, you can expect to win all the time!

The Light Prevails!

“His life is the light that shines through the darkness – and the darkness can never extinguish it.”

John 1:5 The Living Bible

Anywhere that you find darkness today (and everyday for that matter), shine the Light of the Word on it. If situations around you seem dark, shine the light. If men and women in authority seem to be walking in and promoting darkness, shine the light. If there are things that are hidden that need to be revealed, shine the light on it. If you know people that are walking in darkness, pray that they receive the light that God is shining toward them. Find out what the Bible says and then pray and speak the “Light” into these situations. We need to exhibit the faith and the confidence in what the Bible says about the Light of God’s Life and His Word – “the darkness can never extinguish it.” Hallelujah!!!

Hold Fast To Your Confession

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.”

Hebrews 4:14

Our profession of Jesus Christ is both what we say and what we do. Since He is our High Priest, we have a Representative in the Presence of the Father that stands up for us as we speak and live according to the Scriptures. When we speak the Word of God and when we live it, all of heaven, through Jesus Christ, backs and supports what we do. If you are interested in God being involved in what you do, make it your aim to both confess the Word of God and live the Word of God. You will find God vitally active in your life.

Walk As He Walked

“He that saith that he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.” 1 John 2:6

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John give us a picture of the way that Jesus walked while He was in the earth. We see Him meeting the needs of other people. We see Him going about doing good, healing and delivering others from satanic oppression. We see Him serving and giving. We see Him loving and laying down His life for others. We see Him pleasing the Father in everything that He did. We see Him fellowshipping with the Father. The pictures that He left us make it easy for us to see how we are to conduct ourselves. Let us do as He did, releasing the Father’s love in the earth.

Use Your Authority

“Truly I tell you, whatever you forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit and declare proper and lawful on earth must be what is already permitted in heaven.”

Once we find out what heaven thinks about matters on earth, it is then up to us to enforce on the earth what is established in heaven. Jesus told us that we have this authority. If we don’t use it, it won’t be exercised. We find out what heaven thinks about a situation when we go to the Bible and see what it says. The Bible lets us know what God thinks. When we find situations in life that are out of line with what heaven thinks should go on in the earth, then we as the Body of Christ must take authority over them in the Name of Jesus and command them to come into subjection to the Word of God, whether it be in our personal lives or something that effects the plan of God in the earth. We hold the keys.

We Are Anointed

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18, 19.

Jesus, as the Son of man, set us an example as to how we should live our lives. He came on a mission from the Father to bring freedom and deliverance to mankind from every kind of curse that darkness had imposed upon man through the fall. He relied upon the Holy Spirit to empower Him to do this. It is the same for us. We are Christians, with the same anointing, or God-given ability to slam the forces of darkness and make them obey the Word of the living God. We must make it our aim to fellowship with God, daily, consistently, in prayer and in the Word and pray for other people to be able to receive the goodness of God through us. This is how the anointing to deliver others is triggered in our lives and becomes vital every day. Take time daily to pray and fellowship with the Father; commit to living by the Word, pray for others on your job, in your neighborhood, in your home, in your school, on the streets; that they will receive the freedom that God has for them. Take dominion over the demons and satan himself, commanding them to loosen their hold from the lives of those you are praying for. Then, make yourself available to bring that deliverance to others through your words and your hands as you minister to them as an anointed man or woman of God.

The Same All The Time

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

Hebrews 13:8

One of the things about the Lord that we rely so much upon is the fact that He is constant – He is always the same. This is one of the things that aids us in our ability to trust Him. We know that He cannot change; He is not fickle. What we must also realize is that He wants us to be the same way that He is – consistent in every good thing. We have to realize that when we are the same all the time – always consistent on the Word of God – that it fosters the same kind of trust. God can trust us and we can trust one another. When this kind of trust begins to be formed in our relationships, it makes it impossible for satan to break us down. A bond and a strength develops amongst us that becomes part of the solid foundation for us to accomplish the things that God has set before us. Get on the Word of God today and work on developing consistent patterns in your life, not just for your sake, but for us all…including the Lord.

See What The Father Sees

“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

Ephesians 2:10 The Amplified Bible

Ever since the Garden of Eden it has been satan’s aim and goal to mess up the image of God. He has always worked on man to get him to see himself in some other way than the way that God sees him. This is a major factor in issues that we have with war, lust, insecurity, divisions and competitiveness that has its source in envy and strife. Of course this is an issue in the world. However, it is also an issue in the church, the body of Christ. We must leave this realm of satanic deception and walk in the realm of the new creation. When we look at ourselves, we must see what God sees. He does not see us as insecure, low–life, insufficient and cowardly. He sees us as He made us in Christ Jesus. The key for you and I is for us to see ourselves the same way. However the Father sees Jesus is the way that he sees us. It is way past time for the members of the body of Christ to renew their minds to this. When this takes place, oh how different life will be!

My Heart, His Home

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom…”

Think of every word concerning Christ – His instructions on love, serving, giving, forgiving, healing, being anointed by the Holy Spirit and the kingdom of God – and go after them, filling your heart with them like you would fill a dump truck full of gold bars. Make your heart a place for His Word to dwell in you in abundant measure.

Christianity Is Not For Wimps

“Only be thou strong and very courageous…”

Joshua 1:7

All throughout the Scriptures God commands His people to be strong and courageous. Never does He even suggest that we should be cowardly and shrink back from satan or the circumstances of life. The English word “courage” has its roots in the Latin and French words for “heart.” To have heart is to face up to any challenge, adversity, problem and even the threat of disaster or death, stare it in the face and defy them; even deny the right to run one off in fear. God can encourage us to be that way because He knows Who He is in behalf of His people and He also knows what He has invested in us – Himself. He has made us more than conquerors and proclaimed to us that He, in us, is greater than the one who is in the world. He has given us His armor to wear and the Word of God to come forth from our mouths. He proclaims repeatedly that He is on our side and that He is our Helper. So, as Christians, we are to face every single adversity with courage, not run as cowards. We can do that because we know Who He is and we know who we are!

Who Will You Serve?

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

Matthew 6:24

Jesus states an impossibility, and that is that no one can be dedicated to two masters. The word for serve used here in the Greek is a word that actually refers to being a willing servant or slave. All of the principles of serving money go against the principles of serving God. Loving money is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10); it is difficult for those who put their trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God (Mark 10:24); the deceitfulness of riches will keep one from being fruitful in the Word of God (Mark 4:19) and it will draw one off into coveting which in turn will cause one to stray from the faith and bring self – inflicted sorrow. Serving God, however, will place one in a position to receive his or her own needs met, to have resources for giving to others and allow one to enjoy the material things that one has because their trust is in the right place (Matthew 6:24-34; 2 Corinthians 9:6-15; 1 Timothy 6:17-19).

Shine Your Light For The World To See

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:1

We are at a place today in which the Holy Spirit is opening our eyes to the reality of many truths in the Word of God. He is delivering us from the traditions of men and doctrines of demons. He is helping us to refine our prayer lives and become accurate in the Scriptures. Most of these things have to do with the authority that God gave to man in the Garden of Eden and especially now, the authority that has been given to the body of Christ. One of the major areas that we are seeing and that we will see more clearly as time goes on has to do with the areas of revival and outpourings of the Holy Spirit. For so many years and for so many people the thought has been that revival and outpourings will come as we pray for God to release something that He “seemingly” is holding back until we get enough prayer mustered up to where He says, “Ok, I’m releasing My Spirit.” We must realize that His Spirit has already been poured out into the earth and the responsibility for manifestations of His Spirit is now in the hands of the Church, the body of Christ. This Scripture tells us that we are to rise up and shine because our light has already come. Other Scriptures also bear this out. We are to pray in the Spirit, pray the prayer of intercession for others, binding the spirits of darkness and releasing the light of God into the lives of others, and then let our lights shine so that others will see and experience through us the glory of God. We all are a vital part of this and the time has come for us to renew our minds to these things and become accurate so that we can properly function in the light of the Bible.

Your Blessed House

Do You Really Know The Heart of God?

“Who is a God like unto Thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not His anger for ever; because He delighteth in mercy.”

There are lots of people who think that God is always angry and walking around just waiting for someone to do something wrong so that He can drop a bomb on them or hit them over the head with a stick. But you know, He is not like that. As a matter of fact, He is looking for every way that He can possibly find to be good to people and show them mercy. It is satan that has lied to mankind and painted this picture of a God Who is a mean and punishing God. If you have received that lie, it is time for a change in your thinking. God is good, He is forgiving, He doesn’t hold on to anger or hold a grudge and it is His delight to show mercy. What He is looking to do for you today is to reach down to you wherever it is that you are in life or in your mind and bring you up to His level so that you can look at Him eye to eye and receive His goodness.

Stand For The Truth, Church!

“But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”

As the church, the Body of Christ, we must realize how important we are to God and His plan, to the world and to one another. God has invested His truth in the Church – we are It! If the world, or the universe, for that matter, is going to understand what truth is, they are going to find it out from the Body of Christ. Paul tells us in this Scripture that we are the ground, the support, the prop, the mainstay of the truth. We must see how vital it is for us, especially every Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher, to search out the Scriptures through the Holy Spirit’s help so that we have the exact truth of God and represent it properly. Then, we must all get on board with the truth, guard it and protect it from error so that God is properly represented. We must all humble ourselves and search out what the Father has ordained as truth.

Guard Your Imaginations

“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:13

The “loins of your mind” in this Scripture is a reference to your imagination or the seat of procreative power that is inside of you. Your imagination is given to you by God to be a part of the shaping of your life of faith and hope and is instrumental in what comes to pass is your life. Of course we see in the word imagination the word “image.” The “images” or the pictures that we see clearly on the inside are what we seek to become in life. The imagination is like an incubator. Whatever you imagine or meditate on is going to be what you become. Paul told us in Ephesians 6:14 that our loins should be girdled with the truth; the truth being the Word of God. We must make sure that we harness our imaginations and not let them stray into anything that is contrary to the Word of God. Tighten up your mind today; keep your imagination in check.

Call On His Strength

“That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.”

Ephesians 3:16

I would venture to say that there have been times in all of our lives when we just didn’t think or feel as though we had the strength to make it to the next day, or to resist a temptation, or complete a God–given task. This may be the case with you at this very moment. There is strength available to you and I that goes far beyond this natural strength that we tend to rely upon so much; it is a supernatural strength that comes from God Himself and this strength is already resident on the inside of every believer. A key to drawing on it, just like anything else, is by learning how to talk. God says for the weak to “say” that they are strong. Paul said that when he was weak that that is when the power of Christ would rest upon him. In times of natural weakness we must say that we are strong and we must expect the power of Christ to rest upon us and we must expect to be strengthened with might by His Spirit on our inside. Summon the strength of God by declaring what He has said with your mouth. A supernatural strength will rise up and upon you from within that will go even beyond your own mental understanding. Put that strength in motion right now by saying, “I am strong and I can do all things through Christ Who strengthen me.” Hallelujah!!!!

Chosen By Jesus

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should to and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My Name, He may give it you. John 15:16

Every now and then it is good for us to remind ourselves of the fact that we are chosen by Jesus. We did not initiate anything having to do with redemption or having a relationship with the Lord. We may have responded to His call, but long before we were ever thought of, He had set His plan in motion. We were chosen in Christ; the Holy Spirit drew us, convicted us and imparted life to us. Then Jesus ordained us to go and bring forth fruit that would never die. Keeping these things in mind will give the grace and goodness of God space to overwhelm you and you will receive glimpses of just how much you are loved by the Father.

A Key To Reaping

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”

Galatians 6:9-10

A very important factor, if not, the most important factor in our reaping blessing based on the seeds we have sown, is not becoming weary in well doing. Notice God says to us that we will reap “IF WE FAINT NOT.” The key is to not give up because it seems as if nothing is happening. If we are going to reap, then we must continue in well doing. In essence, the Lord is telling us that our giving and doing good deeds are not to be based on trying to do something good every now and then or when we have a need in our lives. The Word is telling us that well doing has to be a lifestyle; something that we do all the time because we are committed to this type of life. Catch this subtle truth; it will be a revelation to you.

Speak To Things?

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain…”Mark 11:23

I am absolutely convinced that we spend too much time asking God to do things – to change things that HE HAS GIVEN US THE POWER AND AUTHORITY TO DO. When there are obstacles in life, we need to learn how to TALK TO THINGS. Whether it be the weather, circumstances, money, situations, etc; we must SPEAK TO IT AND TELL IT WHAT TO DO! Of course, we need the Word in our hearts and of course there are times when we will need to seek the wisdom of God. The bottom line however is that we must SPEAK TO THINGS IF WE EXPECT THEM TO CHANGE! Search the Scriptures and especially the ministry of Jesus while He was here in the earth. This is where He set an example for us, living as the Son of man, anointed by the Spirit of God.

No Weapon...!

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17

We have an adversary that is constantly forming weapons to use against us. However, the Father has told us that not one of these weapons will prosper or have any success against us when we understand that we are the bearers of His very own righteousness. We will condemn and judge inoperative and ineffective any word that satan brings against us because we are as righteous as Jesus Christ Himself. The devil has no case against Jesus, so, consequently he has no case against us. Don’t let the enemy trick you into receiving any of his accusing weapons against you…he has no case!

Are You A God Pleaser?

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”

The Bible teaches us one sure way of being able to please God; that is to live by faith. When we determine to live by our trust in God and His Word, to live by what we say, to act on the Word of God even though our senses try to tell us to do something else, to remain faithful to the Word of God rather that choose our own way based on our own understanding (for all these represent living by faith), we have chosen to live in a manner that pleases God.

Prosperity, blessing and increase are the Lord’s ideas, not ours. He is the Source of this kind of thinking. Since He is the Originator, we should make up our minds to be the recipients. His promise is to us and to our children. Take your faith and put yourself in position to receive for you and your family. Don’t settle for where you are right now. God will always have more…He will never run out!

Make The Word Your Private Property

We are blessed to have men and women of God who are called to preach and teach the Word of God to us; many of which, by the help of the Holy Spirit, do a great job. However, no matter how great a job they may do, it is our responsibility to search the Scriptures on a daily basis to make sure that what we are receiving is not only correct, but that we also take that Word and make it our own. It must become a revelation to each of us on an individual basis, for ultimately, I will have to give an account for the Word that I receive and walk in.

Your Prayers Make a Difference

Imagine that! A man can stand before God in behalf of someone else and keep them from being destroyed. Let’s not be surprised. It happened all throughout the Bible. God is looking for those amongst His people who will stand before Him in prayer for others; in seemingly impossible situations and challenge Him to bring deliverance in spite of how bad someone might be. God seeks for these kinds of people. Never belittle the power of your intercessory prayers.

Oh How He Cares For You!

“Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.”

It is so easy for a Believer, if he or she is not watchful, to get caught up in the cares and the anxieties of life; wondering how am I going to make it, or how is this going to turn out, and on and on and on. We must remember that our Mighty God has said that he not only cares about us, but He affectionately cares about us and is also watching over our lives, looking for opportunities to help. The key for us is to cast all the anxieties and worries over on Him; that is what He asks us to do. Sure we have responsibilities and things that we must do, but, the anxiety and worry that may attempt to accompany them, God says, “Cast that on Me, I’ll care FOR you.” Let’s give the Father a chance to show Himself faithful to His word. Worrying and being anxious about things has never changed anything and it never will…so take the Father at His word.

As we go about life from day to day we have many opportunities to do things for other people. Sometimes one might feel that he or she is overlooked or not appreciated for what one does; or one might expect to be reciprocated for what he or she has done for another, and it doesn’t happen. How do you respond? We must always check our motives for why we do what we do for others. A good thing for us to do would be to determine that whatever we do for someone, we are going to treat it as if we were doing it to and for the sake of the Lord. This will always keep our motives right; we will be doing things out of love for others and for Jesus. When we look at it from this perspective, we will expect to receive our reward from the Lord for what we do and not the approval of man.

Build One Another Up

We are charged by the Lord to look out for one another in our speech. This same fourth chapter of Ephesians tells us that the body is responsible for the edifying of itself in love. One of the greatest ways that we build one another up, or tear one another down is by our words. If we use the power of the spoken word properly, we can build one another up so high that nothing will be impossible to any of us and hence, to the body of Christ. Think of some good things that you can say to the people around you today, especially to those in your family and to those in the body of Christ. You might be surprised at how much of a difference you may make.

What’s In Your Diet?

Your inner man is hungry for something; and it’s not the latest movie, the latest novel or the television program that everyone is raving about. Your inner man is hungry for the Word of God. Jesus stresses to us the importance of feeding on the Word of God in such way that He tells us that our lives are not sustained entirely on the natural food that we eat; implying that the Word of God will also have an effect on our natural being as well. Don’t starve the man on the inside by paying so much attention to what’s on the outside.

Watch Out What You Do Before You Get That Tattoo

“You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you; I am the Lord.” Leviticus 19:28 NKJV

It has become very popular in this generation for people to cut and to mark their skin with tattoos. The Scripture teaches us that it is something that God says not to do. If one studies this out, he or she will find out that both the cutting of marks in the flesh and the printing of tattoos on the body are heathen practices that are older than any of us alive today. It may be a popular thing to do, but we as God’s people need to refrain from such practices. The Believer’s body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, made for God to be glorified in, not to promote heathen practices or represent that which is demonic in nature. If you as a Christian have done it, and didn’t understand or know what you were doing, ask forgiveness, repent and then believe God to supernaturally deliver you from any curse associated with the act of cutting or tattooing yourself. His grace and mercy are yours. If you have not done it and you are considering it, leave it alone!

Trust In His Mercy

If there ever is an aspect of our fellowship with the Father that we should always be mindful of (and that the Father wants us to be mindful of), it is His mercy towards us. We need it! When everything else in our faith life may seem to be producing nothing, run to the mercy of the Father. One of the meanings of the word mercy in the Hebrew means to bow the neck in courtesy as to an equal. God shows His mercy to us by coming down to us on whatever level we are on in order to bring us up to where He is; and the thing about it is He is yearning to do it. Give the Father the opportunity today to show you His mercy.

Tap Into The Mysteries

“For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.” 1 Corinthians 14:2

The Father has placed an awesome weapon for working out our victories at our disposal: speaking in other tongues. He tells us that when we do it that we are speaking to Him and that in the realm of the Spirit we are speaking mysteries. We are communicating with God in an area that is off limits to darkness and its dominion and we are talking to God about things that satan cannot see into. Talk to God today about the things that need to be revealed to you, both about His plan for the body of Christ and about His plan for you. Believe that the Holy Spirit will show you these mysteries.

Sow God Seed

Seeds are designed by God to grow and produce fruit. Doing good is sowing “God seed.” The Lord is good and he gives good gifts. We are to take after our God. When you are faced with situations in life when you have needs, train yourself to think giving. Look for ways to do good and especially towards those who are of the family of God. LOOK for ways to be a blessing and then believe God to bring you the increase.

Cease From Strife!

“It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.” Proverbs 20:3

I sure do hope that this is not you; however, if you are prone to strife, one who loves an argument and one who loves to keep a debate or disagreement going, STOP IT NOW! Everything that we do needs to be based on the love of God. That love is a commandment given to us by God to keep; for our good and the good of others. The Bible says that it is a fool who keeps meddling, looking for ways to keep strife going. The Scripture also tells us that it is an honor for one to stop strife in his life. Decide right now that you will be honored by God because you “cease from strife.”

What we say with our mouths has a great effect upon our lives. As a matter of fact, what we say serves as the food that we will eat concerning the direction of our lives. Your belly or, your inward being will be satisfied with what you say with your mouth. And then over time it will produce either the outward manifestations of death or life. Let’s be wise from today onward. Put the Word of God in our mouths today and fill our inward man with the good things of the kingdom of God.

The Scripture teaches us that we are to develop the character of God and allow it to flow through our lives. When people see us, they should be seeing a manifestation of the life of God. There is a union of the Holy Spirit and our spirits and as we renew our minds to the Word of God, what is in our spirits because of that union will have the potential to find expression through the actions of our lives. As we gain knowledge of what is inside of us and begin to do these things, the character of God will be revealed through our lives.

Have you ever noticed in life that when you have gotten into a disagreement with someone that the way the “conversation” progresses hinges upon the way that you respond? If you answer back harshly, in most cases, it causes the same kind of response (or worse) to arise from the other person? However, if you answer softly, or, in a gentle manner, it keeps things from getting out of hand. This is so important to us in our communications with one another. We cannot afford to be in strife because of its damaging effects. The next time that you get into a “discussion”, remember the effect of a soft answer. It will save you from a lot of trouble.

Trust God: Not An Option

Trusting God today is not an option, especially in the material realm. This world system is seeking to destroy the people of the earth, oppress them and bring them into bondage. We must learn the principles of how the kingdom of God operates and then commit to operating materially the way that God would have us to. It will take some drastic mind renewal, but it must be done. Begin by giving God what belongs to Him and believe Him to show you how to increase. Then, if you have not done so already, make the decision to get out of debt and stay out. These two decisions are primary when it comes to doing what God wants us to in our material lives. Start today. Take the above Scripture to heart and let the Holy Spirit guide you.

We’ve Been Delivered!

We have been redeemed! Purchased! Bought with a price! Because of the blood of Jesus, we are no longer under the dominion of darkness. Let the light of God’s Word and let the light of God’s life shine through you today. Remind the darkness that it has lost dominion over you and your affairs.

Speak The Word Only

This is the kind of confidence that the Father would have us to have: that we would have faith in the authority of the spoken word of God. The Father has already spoken concerning every situation in our lives. As a matter of fact, everything has already been taken care of before the foundation of the world. So, whatever God has already spoken, let us say the same thing, let us receive what He has already said, let us offer Him praise and thanks for what He has already spoken and let us act on what He has already spoken.

Let The Word Be Your Counsel

As you go about your day today, keep this thought in mind: let the Word counsel you. The Holy Spirit and the Word of God are the Best that there is when it comes to counsel and guidance. Bend your ear toward the Word and keep your inner ear open to Him speaking from within. He will not lead you astray.

In this Scripture we find one of the simplest Bible definitions for what faith is. It is believing that God is and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. Putting in other words that flow out of these Greek words, it can be said like this: faith is believing that God exists and believing that He rewards those who crave after Him and search Him out by means of worship and prayer. Real simple, wouldn’t you say?

Jesus Is Lord

He is watching over you with His Word and declaring great and mighty things concerning your life. He is upholding you by the power of His Word. Regardless of what some things may look like to you from the natural perspective, remember that Jesus is Lord…and He always causes you to win!

Box the Devil Out

“Neither give place to the devil.”

Ephesians 4:27

If you have ever played basketball, you know that an important aspect of the game is rebounding. You don’t want to allow the opposing team to have more than one shot at the basket during that possession of the ball. In order to ensure that, when the ball is shot, each person on the defensive team must “box their player out.” That means that each defensive player has to get in between their player and the basket so that when the ball comes off of the rim they can rebound it without giving the offensive team another shot at the basket. They must “give no place” for the offensive team to get another chance. We must treat the devil and demons in a similar manner. In the game of life, we must make sure that he gets no opportunity for any rebounds or anything else. Once he takes a shot at us, we must determine that that’s it for that possession of his…he cannot have another shot! Once you have overcome him or resisted a temptation, immediately fortify yourself with the Word of God in that area and also remind the devil of what “is written”, and keep him out of your business.

Everything Starts Small

“For who has despised the day of small things?...”

An important thing for every believer to understand is that in the kingdom of God, everything starts with a seed. A seed is a small thing but the potential of its greatness lies within. Given the right environment, the proper nourishment and care, it will fulfill its potential and grow to be whatever is on the inside. The things that we do for God are the same. The day of beginning will be small, however, that is not to be despised. Don’t compare yourself with others who are moving along at a pace that is not yours. Keep your competitive eye off of the field of others and tend to your own field. If you will do this, then over time the potential that is in the “seed of your small thing”, i.e. “your day of beginning” will grow to its potential as well. Water your seed, nourish it, keep it in its environment for growth and everything will turn out just fine.

Don’t Despise History

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4

History, yes history and even Bible history is good for us. In the natural, history teaches us not only facts, but of both men’s successes and failures; and even more importantly, why men succeed and fail. God, in His Word, has given us the Old Testament as an illustration of how we should walk in this life. It shows us the successes of our fore – fathers and it shows us their failures. God then tells us to use these things as an example because they are written for our education. If we are wise, we will take heed. We will both learn how to succeed and how not to duplicate the sins and errors of men in the past.

Stand Your Ground

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”

Galatians 5:1

You don’t want to go back to the bondage that you were delivered from. In order to keep that from happening you will have to stand your ground. You will need to establish a root system in your life that is based on the finished work of Christ. You will need to be “rooted and built up in Him”, according to Colossians 2:6, 7. You will need to be established in the gospel according to Romans 16:25-27. You will need to be “rooted and grounded in love”, according to Ephesians 3:17 and you will need to understand characteristics of “the divine nature” that you have become a partaker of according to 2 Peter 1:1-11. As you search these things out in the Scripture, apply them to yourself, meditate on them and by the power of the Holy Spirit begin to walk them out in your life. You will be standing your ground.

Do Something About Your Thinking

The renewing of the mind is one of the single most important things that we must deal with in our lives. It is impossible for us to be or believe beyond what is in our minds. According to the Bible, the way that we are in our minds is the way that we are. The only godly way to change that is to go to the Word of God and place it in our thinking. Memorize the Word; meditate the Word; stay with it. With consistency over the course of time, things will change on the inside. When things change on the inside, then they will change on the outside.

Young people, check this out: God has said to you that you can be an example; that’s right, you! If you will be diligent about your fellowship with the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, you can exemplify godly living just like any adult. I want to encourage you today to take on this mandate from God. Choose to glorify God in all that you do. Determine to make your life a picture that others can live by; let them see Jesus and His character on display through you.

Do Something About The Darkness

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them that believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, Who is the image of God, should shine unto them.: 2 Corinthians 4:3, 4

For many of us as Believer’s it’s time for us to stop complaining about people who don’t do right. We complain about the sinners; we complain about an unsaved loved one; we complain about the President, the food and gas prices, and so on and so on. Well, guess what? It’s time for us to do something about the darkness. People act like they act primarily because of the satan, the “god of this world.” However, Jesus has given us authority over the power of darkness; we are to bind them in prayer and with the Word of God coming out of our mouths. Then we are to pray for (and make ourselves available) laborers of the gospel to minister to them. Let’s stop neutralizing ourselves by speaking what is negative and supportive of darkness; let’s take dominion over the darkness so that others can see the choices that they need to make.

All Good Things Come From God

All good things come from God! There seems to be this ungodly way of thinking that almost (if not every) person has to overcome at some time in his life and that is that God does not really want us to have good things. Many have been taught in church throughout the years and people in the world have been trained to think that God is against them and to have good things is bad. Our minds must be renewed; for what we truly believe and what we see in our minds is what we will receive. If darkness has shrouded your mind and somehow deep down on the inside you struggle with God wanting you to receive good things, make up your mind to conquer that way of thinking. Run to the Word and give the Holy Spirit the opportunity to help you paint a different picture on the canvas of your mind.

He Did It For You

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5

Be aware of this fact today: what Jesus did at the cross and in His redemptive work was for you. He was actually our Substitute; He acted in our place in order that we might receive the credit for what He did. He did not need remission and forgiveness of sin, peace, prosperity, healing and health; we did. So, what He did was for us. Don’t be deceived by the enemy today. Stand upon the Word of God today and realize that everything that Jesus did was for us and that the Father means for us to receive every single benefit of Christ’s finished work.

There Will Be Unity

“That in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him.” Ephesians 1:10

There is a day coming in which everything in this universe will be in harmony as God meant for it to be. There will be unity. But God is not waiting until some day way off into the future to get started on it. As the church, we are the agents and the example of that unity here in the earth right now. He has called us to be one in unity, to flow together for and in the same God given purposes and to walk in peace. Find out the plan of God by going to the Scriptures. Then do your part by promoting unity and not division.

Destined To Win

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place.”

What a word! We are told to give thanks to God because He always causes us to win, “in Christ.” In Christ is the key to understanding God’s thinking here. The victory of Christ over everything satanic in His resurrection from the dead is the basis for our victory. Our victories are already won because Jesus already won; and He was and is our Representative. So, the victories that God is talking to us about are not based on our conduct, our merit or anything that we have done to attempt to gain favor or approval from God. They are based totally and completely on the finished work of Christ. Our response is to be that of thanksgiving, faith and obedience so that we may appropriate what is already ours “in Christ.”

Keep Your Mind On God

Peace has been provided for us. For us to experience that peace we must keep our minds fixed on Jehovah. The way that we do this is by keeping our minds fixed on what the Word says to us about God. Jehovah is not going to fix your mind on Him; you must do that. Locate things that the Scripture says about God and then keep your mind steadfast on Him. This will cause the peace of God to be a reality in your life.

I Love You, Lord?

We can get all emotional about the Lord and relate to Him on that level and that’s fine. Nothing wrong with expressing love for the Lord on the emotional level; it is important. However, the true test of our love for the Lord is our obedience. If we love Him, then we will do what He has asked us to do. So, today, ask yourself, “Where is my love for the Lord? Am I doing what He asks me to do?” Then from this day onward keep in mind that the true test of my love for the Lord is my obedience.

Keep Running

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.”

We are in a race. However, it is not a sprint. It is a long distance race that is based on endurance. As a Believer, you must make up your mind that you are in Christ for the long haul. A long distance runner must not only train his body, but he must also condition his mind. We must prepare our minds to run daily, every day, one day at a time. We must incorporate Scriptures such as Galatians 5:22, 23; 2 Peter 1:2-10 and Hebrews 6:11, 12 just to mention a few. We must be able to run through the sun and through the rain, through the good times and the challenging, through good weather and bad, through anything that comes our way…and keep on running until we see Jesus face to face!

The Word Is Settled Forever

Don’t Run From The Devil

God has made us “more than conquerors” and that is what we are. Don’t yield to the lies or the intimidating tactics of satan. Stand up to him with the Word of God-what is written-and resist him. He WILL flee!

It’s Still About Winning Souls

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise” Proverbs 11:30

Personal soul winning and evangelism; it’s almost a lost are in the church in our land. We are in need of a serious revival in this area of our lives. Many a Believer has forgotten that this is one of the chief reasons for us being here in the earth. We are to influence lives; we are to show the kingdom and God and call men to repentance. Then, we are to make disciples of all men. These things will never happen with the majority of the church being fearful of involvement with other people and sitting at home watching television. We must give this a priority in our lives. Each believer has a sphere of influence. Wherever you are, wherever you go, whatever you do daily, there are people that you contact. Begin praying for the people in your neighborhood, begin praying for the people that you work with, begin praying for the people in the places that you shop and begin praying for the people in your places of recreation. You will begin to have a heart that wants to see the Lord Jesus change their lives and the Holy Spirit will give you what you need to help them. It is time for many of us to get up out of our own selfish little world and get involved with others. We are here to make a difference.

Contend For The Faith

“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”

We are living in a time in which the precious truths concerning our God and His kingdom are being dishonored by satan and natural man. We must position ourselves to “earnestly contend” for the things of God. For one, we must know the Word of God. We cannot contend or stand up for what we don’t know. Two, we must live the Word so that we will know God by experience. We will not just have a heart full of facts, but we will have the experience to go along with it. Third, we must pray and fast. Our spirits, by the Holy Spirit must rise above the senses so that we may display the power of the Holy Spirit in ministry to the needs of mankind.

The Fast That God Has Chosen

The Strait and Narrow Way

Don’t think it a strange thing that you are being challenged because you are attempting to walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the desires of the flesh. Walking in the things that pertain to the life of God-righteousness, holiness, love, health and the power of God-don’t come easy. It takes much diligence and a willingness to apply oneself wholeheartedly and constantly to the Word, prayer and fellowship with God. The pathway that Jesus spoke of is challenging which is the reason that not many find it. Stick with it…don’t be a quitter.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

Isn’t the goodness of God just totally amazing? And His promises beyond anything that anyone else can match? He has promised us that we would not be ashamed in times that are evil and in times of famine we would be taken care of. There is no need for the child of God in any generation or any time to be afraid of anything. We have a Father Who will see to our welfare.

Look Out World, Here We Come!

The same calling that is on Jesus is on us. The Father sent Him into the world and then Jesus sent us into the world. Matthew 28:18-20 and Mark 16:15-20 tell us some the things that we have been sent into the world to do. Jesus and the Father are seeing, according to the Word, an obedient and “sent” body of Christ into the world. We declare in agreement with the Word of God that this day Believer’s all over the world are taking their place and going as they have been sent. Look out world, here we come!

Remember The Lord’s House

In the hustle and bustle of life, it can become easy for Believer’s, if they are not mindful, to forget the house of the Lord. I want to encourage you today to remember your local church. It is the place where you are fed the Word of God. It is the place of fellowship with other Believer’s. It is the storehouse of God for meeting the needs of people in your community, your nation and the world. Don’t get so wrapped up in your natural life that you forget the house of the Lord.

Seek God Early

Seeking the Lord and His wisdom in the first and best part of the day is always the best thing to do. Before the world around you gets active, when it is quiet; that’s the best time to seek God. But consider this also: we must learn to seek the Lord early on in the affairs of our lives. Before we start something or in a test or trial we have entered into, we should seek Him-right from the start. So much of the time we get encumbered in our own plans or make a mess of some situation all because we did not seek God early or in the initial stages or our situation. Let us be ever mindful to seek Him early.

Get Busy!

“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” James 4:14

Most of us at some time or another have probably heard the saying, “life is short.” Compared to eternity that is a definite fact. No matter how many years you live, it will be no real comparison to eternity. Our lives here in the earth truly are a vapor that appears for a short time, then…they are gone. With that being said, we need to get busy serving God and advancing His kingdom. We need to focus so much more of our attention on the things that will make a mark on eternity; things that will last in the sight of God. Maybe on the inside of you and me today there are things that we want to accomplish for God, or, maybe even things that we know that He has told us to do. And we are plodding along as if we are going to be living on the earth for 500 years before we expire physically and go to the presence of the Lord. My suggestion: stop putting off for the future what you know you can do today. Get started! If there are things you are uncertain of, do the part that you know can be done and get serious about your prayer and Bible searching time in order to become secure in the rest. It’s time to get busy…your life is but a vapor.

How Do YOU Measure The Word?

“And He said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.” Mark 4:24

When God says something to or about us, He really means what He says. Our traditions and our fears have kept us from stepping out fully on what He has said. A good example of this is the above Scripture. It is a very simple yet powerful truth and it is working for every one of us even though some of us may not even realize it. However each of us measures what we will believe of the Word of God is exactly what we will receive. We have made God and the experiences of other men the measuring stick for our own receiving. The only responsibility that God has toward us is giving us His Word to believe and then standing behind its producing for the one who truly stands in faith for that Word to come to pass in his or her life. It is not His responsibility to believe for us; we must search the Word, find what it says and then on purpose believe what He says. When an individual experiences either limited blessing from the Word of God or a total failure in receiving God’s blessing, we are not obligated to accept that man’s experience as the proof of what God has promised as His blessing toward us. Pray and believe that the Holy Spirit will help you to remain conscious of this truth. It will prove to be invaluable to you. You may have to stand alone; you may need to be a pioneer in some areas of the Scripture, but isn’t this a “personal relationship” that each of us has with the Lord? So let each of us receive our own responsibility to measure the Word and take the limits off of God and His desire to richly bless our lives.

Sing Your Praise To The Lord

“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.” Acts 16:25

Are you at a challenging time in your life? Does it seem as if you are in “prison” with no hope or means or release? Are you suffering wrong for the right thing that you did? Are the circumstances that you are facing “unfair?” Paul and Silas could have sung these songs. But they chose to sing praises unto God…and the heathen heard them. Remember His Benefits

“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy Name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagles.” Psalm 103:1-5

One of the first things that many people consider when they look for employment is the type of benefits that the company has to offer its workers. Those “benefits” are good things that come along with the employment package. It could include things such as vacation time, personal time, health insurance and some kind of investment, just to name a few. But notice this, these are things that come along with the package. Once you accept employment, these things become yours as long as you are employed. The company is now responsible for keeping its word to you…and you won’t forget YOUR benefits. Well, when we answered redemptions call and gave our lives to the Lord, there are some things that came along with the “package.” It is up to us to remember these benefits that are already ours, stand up for them and not let satan nor life’s circumstances cheat us out of what is ALREADY OURS! Receive these Scriptures today as your own and determine to let the Holy Spirit help you to receive in your life what is already yours. Thank you Jesus!

See The Invisible

“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18

How in the world do we see the invisible? By looking at the Word of God. The Believer is to see things through a different set of eyes than natural man. We must remember that everything that we can see with our eyes, in this natural world, is subject to change. So, no matter what anything looks like in the natural realm, IT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE! This lets us know that we should keep our focus on the Word of God because it is the only thing that is eternal and unchanging. Don’t let the enemy or your senses sidetrack you into fixing your mental gaze on all of the natural instabilities around you. Keep your sights on the Word of God. The application of the Bible will bring about change in the natural things around you.

The Word Will Never Fail

“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the Word of our God shall stand for ever.” Isaiah 40:8

If there is one thing in this universe that cannot fail it is the Word of the Living God. You can rest assured of that. Let that be your confidence today. Not one Word, not one promise, not one fact concerning our redemption can ever be made null or void. In your prayers and in your confessions today, in all that you live this day, remember that His Word will never fail…it will stand forever!

Answered Prayer?

“And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us: and if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him” 1 John 5:14, 15

Yes, answered prayer. Emphatically “yes”, answered prayer! When we pray, we are to expect results. God declares it. This Scripture tells us that if we ask according to His will that we have confidence that we are heard, and confidence that we are heard is confidence that we have what we have asked. Don’t get cheated by satan or the traditions of men: ask and receive in the way that God says to and enjoy the results of Him giving you what you asked for.

Power To Get Wealth

“But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is He that giveth thee the power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

Notice that this Scripture says that God gives us the power or the ability to produce wealth, not money. There is a difference is wealth and money. Money is what we use as a means of exchange for things, wealth actually is that which continues to produce over time. It can be likened to a good or a service that one has that is lasting and just keeps producing. Every believer should believe God, not just for money, but for the “ability to produce wealth.” Ask the Lord to open your eyes, give you an idea, something that people need, a good or a service that will continue to produce over time, that will open the door for lasting wealth, not just money to spend.

The Portrait of a Blessed Man

Remember Your Children

“For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which He hath spoken of him.”

Genesis 18:19

We must remember that God has His mind on our children. Why is that? Well, one reason is because He is thinking about His covenant being perpetual. It must be passed down from generation to generation. He needs people who will be able to walk with Him and continue to manifest Him in the earth. Unless the Lord comes in our lifetime, our bodies will sleep in the grave and our inner man will go to be in the presence of the Lord. Someone will need to continue. This is why you must train your children in the things of the Lord. Start talking to them while they are in the womb. Teach them when they are small. Read the Word to them. Answer their questions. Take them to church. Exemplify worship before them. And one to the most important things is to make sure that you show them, by your actions, what it means to walk with God. Children will imitate what they see!

What Kind of Treasure Is Inside of You?

“A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.”

Matthew 12:35

Whatever a person gives their thought life and words to is what becomes their inward treasure. Our hearts are, in a sense, incubators. Thoughts that are continually meditated on and rolled around in the heart eventually find conception: they become our “treasure.” Then we will begin to look for ways to bring out into the open what we have given value to on the inside and we do that by our words and our actions. If we treasure good things inside, then good things will come out of us. If we treasure evil things inside, then that is what will come out of us. These things do not come about by accident; they come about because of what we choose to continually think about. If you desire good things to come out of you, then give your thoughts to the Word of God and good things. If evil things seem to be “rooted” inside of you, repent, change the things that you have been thinking on. Think on the good. You will uproot the evil, cast it out and have a treasure of good things inside of yourself. Good things will come out!

Go To The Head of The Class

“And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them.”

Deuteronomy 28:13

The Scripture teaches us that we as the people of the Lord have been placed in a blessed position: the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. The world, the circumstances of life and satan and demon spirits are not to have any control or mastery of our lives. Make, re-establish or affirm these two things today: 1) determine to obey the Lord, whether it be by the written Word or the voice of the Holy Spirit and 2) make up your mind to stand against being the tail and being on the bottom via the confession of the Word of God and the actions of your life that agree with the Word. GO TO THE HEAD OF THE CLASS!

The Truth Will Make You Free

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

John 8:31, 32

We are living in a country in which, relatively speaking, to the rest of the world, we enjoy great freedom. But satan is out to disturb that. As Christian people in these United States of America we must know the truth of the Word of God, but we must also know our Constitution and Bill of Rights. I would encourage you today, if you have not, to search out copies of these documents and know them for yourself. You will know what “is written”, and with that know your own freedoms and be in a position to help others stand for theirs. America is a great nation and we need to know the truth so that we are able to enforce our freedom.
