The Mind of Who?
“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16

What a bold declaration…we have the mind of Christ! Yes, that’s what the Bible says. Every believer must look deeply into the New Testament and see what the Scriptures are teaching us about all that belongs to us through our union with the Father through Jesus Christ. We fully identify with Almighty God in all areas of the divine life and we are to manifest that life here in the earth. Step up to the plate and take your place in your union with God Almighty.

“If Ye Do These Things…”

“Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.”
2 Peter 1:10

Stumbling, falling into sin and backsliding are things that we don’t have to experience. If we will follow God’s instructions and give ourselves to proper growth and development, we can stand strong in the Lord and walk in the very life of God Himself.

Your Guarantee of Safety

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refute, even the most high thy habitation; there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling: for He shall give His agnels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because He hath know My Name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him My salvation.”

What Length Is Your Tape Measure?
“And He said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you shall more be given.” Mark 4:24

A reality that we must become accustomed to is the fact that it is not God nor anyone else who determines how much or what we will believe to receive from the Word of God. Jesus said to us that we hold the tape measure and what ever we mete, or measure from the Word is the measure that we will receive in return. There are areas in our lives where things may seem impossible, or something that we need that we have never seen before. Maybe you should be a pioneer and just dare to believe that whatever the Scripture says is possible to the one who believes, that you are the one to whom it is possible.

Always Pray
“And He spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” Luke 18:1
Prayer and the Word represent our vital connection to the Father. We cannot do without either. When we pray, our prayers are to be based on the Word of God. This is what makes prayer the vital part of our connection to God. There are times in the natural when it will seem that everything possible comes against you to try to keep you from praying. According to what Jesus said, we should never grow weary or cave in to the pressure. Never give up on your prayers.

The Lord Is My Shepherd

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
Psalm 23:1

Most of us learned this Scripture when we were little boys and girls, but, you know, the attitude of Jesus has never changed. If we will allow Him to, He will continually show us how faithful He is to shepherd us and provide every need that we could ever have. Make it personal today, just as the Psalmist did and boldly confess and declare, “The Lord is MY SHEPHERD; I shall not want.”

A Unified Church
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; as the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” Psalm 133

Unity; oneness; agreement; harmony-we know what the Scriptures teach us about this being the will of the Father for the body of Christ. But how will we ever achieve it. I propose two things for you today. First of all, Jesus gave us a commandment in John 13:34, 35. If we would love and serve one another unselfishly the way that he served His disciples in John 13, He said that the world would know that we are His disciples. Secondly, if we would all individually and collectively set our sights on the finished work of Christ and our identification with Him, we would very easily see this as a focal point for unity. When we look at all the in Him, in Whom, with Christ, in Christ, etc. Scriptures, we would notice facts about our redemption and our union with God (and each other for that matter) that are absolutely impossible to pervert or misunderstand. By the Spirit of God, I challenge you today to look into this, commit to it and then spread the word to your brothers and sisters in Christ. Unity will be achieved!

Learn The Love Route
“Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride): it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to and end].

Be Generous
“There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered himself.” Proverbs 11:24, 25

God is a giver and we as His children are called to follow His example. Generosity is a part of the heart of our Father. When our hearts are right in our giving, it opens up doors through which others will give liberally back into our lives. Stinginess and keeping back for oneself with a selfish, hoarding attitude is what will lead one towards poverty. Being generous will lead to increase in our lives.

Limitless Prayer
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.’ Matthew 21:22

Consider the possibilities that Jesus opens up to us in prayer. All things being equal (asking and receiving based on the Word of God), the only limits to our receiving are what we dare to ask and can believe to receive, in the Name of Jesus. Where have you drawn the line?

Are You Ready?
“Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” 2 Timothy 4:2

Are you ready for any situation that comes your way? In your own life? In someone else’s life? We are exhorted to be instant, ready; and to be seasonal and unseasonable in our readiness. That lets us know that it is important for us to be in the Word, in prayer and in fellowship with the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. We are not to wait for challenges to come and then try to get ready for them. Daily we are to be building our spiritual houses on the rock so that when any thing comes, we are ready to act in accordance with the will, Word and power of God.

The Same All the Time
“For I am the Lord, I change not: therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6

It’s a good thing to know that the Lord is constant, never changing, the same all the time. Being unchangeable makes one reliable, easy to be trusted. As we travel along the road called life, we learn that in every situation we come across that God can be trusted because He is constant. Let us set our aim to be like Him; for the more consistent we are, the more He can rely on us and the more we can rely on each other.

Never Forsaken

“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Psalm 37:25

Your material and financial challenges may be very great right now. However, it is not the time to throw away your faithfulness to do what you know is right to do from the Word of God. Neither is it time for you to doubt the faithfulness of the Father to perform His Word to you. The testimony of the Psalmist in this Scripture is for you right now. As a Christian, you are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21) and because of that The Father has declared that He will never leave you nor forsake you nor will your offspring ever beg for bread. Hallelujah!!

Pure Religion
“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” James 1:27

If we are not watchful, there is the possibility that we can become so engrossed in our believing God for our own needs that we forget the needs of others. The priority of our Christian living is to please God by being as He is. When we meet the needs of the fatherless and the widows and live in holiness and purity before the Lord, we are living well pleasing to Him.

There’s Nothing To Be Afraid Of

“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

“For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is , the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” Hebrews 2:14, 15

“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15

“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” Psalm 118:6

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my Helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

The Father Wants You Well!
“He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” Psalm 107:20

Never doubt for even a moment as to whether or not God wants you well. There are too many Scriptures in both the Old and The New Testament that declare the will of God for men and women to be healed, whole and well. If you are in need of healing, begin by taking the Scriptures that declare your healing and receive them before the Father. Thank Him in the Name of Jesus for their reality in your life. Meditate and confess them. Then believe God to share His wisdom with you about your health issues so that He can help you correct anything that is out of line. HE WILL HELP YOU!

Put Satan To Flight
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

This part of our spiritual warfare is either sometimes not recognized or it is omitted from the plan. Submission to God plays a very important role in our being able to stand against our adversary. In the light of this Scripture, submission and obedience to God are prerequisites to successful resistance to the devil.

The Name Above All Names
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11

As believers we must study the Name of Jesus and the authority that we have in the use of His Name. There is no name that compares with His Name and His Name has dominion above every other name. Jesus means, “Jehovah is salvation.” When we speak the Name of Jesus in faith, we are declaring the delivering power of God in that situation. Make it a point to study the Name of Jesus and its authority.

There Is Always A Way of Escape
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” I Corinthians 10:13
Have you ever felt that you were just pressed beyond measure? Problems on every side? Seemingly no way out? More on you than you can bear? This Scripture reveals something very, very special to us. God says that He will not allow you to be tempted above that which ye are able to deal with. Do you understand what that means. It means that whatever temptation has found its way into your life: that God has determined that you can deal with it. If not, it would be impossible for it to found its way into your life. That temptation would not have been able to find its way into your life. Change your view of the situation. See yourself through God’s eyes as the one who is more than a conqueror through Him Who loves you. Receive the Father’s estimate of your ability to escape any temptation victoriously.

You Speak To The Mountain
“For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23

Too many times in our lives as believer’s we are asking God to do things for us that He has authorized us to do. One of them is speaking to the obstacles of life that get in our way. We should always pray and believe the Holy Spirit to help us and shine the light of the Word in our hearts. We, however are to speak the Word of God to things that are in our way that are attempting to keep us from the will of God in our lives. Tell the mountain (sickness, strife, lack, bondage, etc.) to be cast into the sea…you do it!

You Are Never Alone
“Let your conduct be without covetousness, and be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” So that we may boldly say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5, 6

You may be in a position in this natural life right now where you “feel” as though you are by yourself. But you are not. The New Testament teaches us that Christ is in us and that God is at work in us. We are also taught that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. So there is no way that as a believer that you could ever be alone. Take Him at His Word, believe His Word and He will manifest Himself to you.

The Portrait of A Righteous Man
Psalm 112
Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, and delighteth greatly in His commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. A good man sheweth mercy, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies. He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honor. The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

God’s Medicine
“For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”

When some symptom of sickness or discomfort comes against our bodies, the first thing that we should do is run to the medicine cabinet: THE WORD OF GOD! Locate Scriptures that declare God’s will for the soundness of you body. Ingest them and allow them to do their work. See the whole process as God has laid it out in the Scripture reading below.

Who’s That Inside of You?
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

When you gave your life to the Lord, God Almighty came to live inside of you. The Creator of the universe, the One Who is All Knowing, All Powerful and Who is everywhere, the One Who is All Wisdom is living inside of you. The one who is in the world, satan, the anti-Christ, is no match for the One Who is living in you. Today is a good day to expect the One Who is inside of You to show Himself mighty and strong on your behalf. Take Him at what He has said in the Scriptures and receive it as so.

Reject Fear
“For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” Job 3:25

Fear will bring negative and destructive things our way in the same manner in which love and faith in God will bring blessings our way. The first three chapters of Job  give us an object lesson in fear and its potential to destroy if we allow it to be unchecked in our lives. I John 4:18 tells us that “perfect love casts out fear.” WHEN WE KNOW THAT THE FATHER LOVES US, FEAR HAS NO ROOM TO TORMENT AND INTIMIDATE US. Search out what the Scriptures teach us about God’s love for us, meditate them and on purpose receive the Father’s love toward you.

Can I Really Know God?
“And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom Thou hast sent.” John 17:3

The Bible teaches us in both testaments that God wants to be known by His children. How is it that so many of us as God’s people have missed that. We have been told and said things like, “You never know what God’s gonna do.” And really my brothers and sisters, that is just not the truth. In the above Scripture, Jesus gives us the Father’s definition of eternal life: that we might know Him and Jesus Whom He sent. We can know God in the same way that we can know any one else who is alive. The same way in which we would get to know another person is the same way that we go about getting to know Almighty God.

Notice that God speaks of us the same way that He speaks about Himself: nothing shall be impossible. The “faith potential” for us is the same as it is for God. Meditate on these Scriptures and see how the Holy Spirit speaks to you about your situations in life.

You Belong To Someone Else
“What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20

One of the most challenging things for us to deal with is the fact that we are not our own. A price has been paid for us…the life and blood of Jesus Christ! The salvation that we have cost God everything; and it cost us everything, too. The Father gave His only begotten Son; the Son laid aside all that He possessed throughout eternity; and we give up our lives for the glory of the One Who gave Himself for us. Remember: you and I are here to glorify God.

Do You Really Want To Receive?
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

This Scripture gives us some real keys to receiving from the Father. It defines what faith is all about. It is first believing that God exists. Secondly, it is believing that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. The words “diligently seek” in the Greek are words that carry the meanings of craving after God and searching Him out by means of worship and prayer. Check your own heart attitude and actions. Is this where you are at?
