Thank You Lord For Daily Bread
“Give us this day our daily bread.”
Matthew 6:11

Do you realize that the Father promises to meet every one of our needs. Jesus tells us that in our prayers our expectation is to be that the Father will provide us with bread on a daily basis. There is one writer that put it this way, “Bread enough for today is assurance of the fact that there will be bread enough for tomorrow. Learn to take each day and its needs without anxiety, understanding that the Father always has you in mind!

His Promise Is Long Life
“With long life will I satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”
Psalm 91:16

Please don’t allow anyone to deceive you into believing that God is against you living a long life. All throughout the Word of God there are promises from Him concerning our living a long and satisfied life. The Scripture even tells us that the choice is up to us in regards to living long and satisfied. Take time to explore the Scriptures then make a decision about what to believe and what to pursue based on what God has said, not the traditions of men.

Consider The Ant
“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.”
Proverbs 6:6

Have you ever observed ants and how they operate? Amazing little creatures – they are very industrious. No obstacle discourages them. They cooperate with each other. They will work for their food and gather what they need for the future. Look at the characteristics of these insects that the Lord describes in Proverbs 6:6-11. Before you destroy your next ant mound with insecticide, watch them and receive an education.

You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Created
“I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knows right well.”
Psalm 139:14

Every person on the face of this earth is an awesome creation of God. Man is a creation of Almighty God, not an accident of the universe or an evolution from some other species. We must learn our Bibles and the facts about creation, teach them to our children and young ones and refuse to allow satan to steal glory from God.

You Are What You Eat
“Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.” Matthew 16:6

The sources that you receive the ministry of the Word of God from are important in your life. Make sure that the things that you are hearing are things that are true to the Word and are Holy Spirit inspired; things that challenge you to believe God, His goodness and to be more like Jesus. Hear things that challenge you to master sin, that let you know that you are blessed and that you are called to be a blessing. Remember: You Are What You Eat!

What’s Your Diet Like?
“But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

As a Believer, make sure that you don’t make the mistake of giving so much attention to your natural food that you neglect feeding on the Word of God. God tells us that we can live on every Word that He speaks. Let the Holy Spirit lead you into a nutritious diet on the Word of the Living God.

Check Your Heart
“Correction is grievous to him that forsaketh the way; and he that hateth reproof shall die.” Proverbs 15:10

There are times in many of our lives that, for one reason or another, we wander away from the truth. Of course we should guard against that. Somehow or another, the Holy Spirit will find a way to bring instruction and correction into our pathway. If I am of a “tender heart” before the Lord, I will receive His instruction and begin working on making adjustments. It may challenge me, but I will begin the process of change. However, if one finds that he or she does not want to be in the Presence of the Word of God that brings instruction or that he or she runs from that Word when it comes forth, that signals a heart issue that needs attention. It is an indicator that one has chosen to walk down a path that is not healthy, and, if not dealt with, it can lead to some very damaging situations. Check your heart today. How are you responding to the correction and instruction that the Word of God brings into your life?

No Other God’s Before Me
“Thou shalt have no other God’s before me.”
Exodus 20:3

There are many opportunities that we, as God’s people, allow other things to have the preeminence in our lives. We must guard against the idols of pleasure and entertainment. We must guard against trusting other sources, than the Father, to meet the needs in our lives. We must guard against attitudes that would attempt to have us trust in money as the source of all of our needs. Our Father is big enough to supply anything that we have need of or desire in life.

You’ll Never Be A Beggar
“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.”
Psalm 37:25-26

If you are the righteousness of God (and you are if you are in Christ), then receive His Word to you: YOU WILL NEVER BE FORSAKEN NOR WILL YOUR OFFSPRING BEG FOR BREAD! BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS, YOU WILL SHOW YOUR CONFIDENCE IN GOD BY BEING THE SAME BY GIVING AND BEING A BLESSING TO OTHERS NO MATTER WHAT YOUR NATURAL CIRCUMSTANCES ARE. GOD WILL NEVER FORSAKE YOU!

Be At Rest
“For we which have believed do enter into rest…”
Hebrews 4:3

Guess what? The struggle is over! Whatever it is that we as God’s people might need, it is already be provided for and made available through the finished work of Christ. And because of that can settle into that place of thanking and praising God for taking care of all of the needs in our lives. We are not struggling to be blessed; we are not to be trying to work up a blessing. Our faith is to rest in the fact that God has already provided. So, each day that we get up we make ourselves available to the Father, to worship and serve Him and meet the needs of mankind by the power and love of the Holy Spirit. As part of our worship to Him we offer thanksgiving and praise to God for His blessing in our lives.

The Father Loves You!
“For the Father Himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and believed that I came out from God.” John 16:27

The Father Himself loves you! God Almighty, the Creator of the heavens and the earth is in love with YOU! What that basically means is that He is willing to serve you, to bless you, to meet your needs, to give you worth, value and purpose and to release good and perfect gifts into your life. You may have an earthly Father or you may not. One thing that you can count on as a Christian is that you have a Father in heaven Who loves you…no matter what!

Don’t Be Weighed Down With The Burden
“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden in light.” Matthew 11:28-30

There is no reason for any of us to weighed down by the burdens of life. Jesus, first of all, has given us an invitation to come to Him if we are weary and heavy laden. He promises to give us rest, not increase the weight of our load. He then tells us that His yoke is easy and His burden in light. If we will allow Him to, Jesus will help with any burden or load that we have. And He promises to give us rest for our souls. If you are mentally worn out from the pressures and loads you have been carrying, take Jesus at His word right now. Put the weight of those things over on Him.

Think On The Lord
“My meditation of Him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.”
Psalm 104:34

Our minds are constantly being challenged these days by demonic spirits. We must make serious choices about our meditations and what they will be. We are encouraged to think on the Lord and to be glad in Him. Let’s trust that the Father knows what He is talking about. Think about how good the Lord is today. Think about His goodness to you and to others that you know. Think about the goodness of God that you have seen in the Word; then make up your mind to be glad in this Lord. Do your thinking a favor and “box out” the evil by thinking on the good.

Put God In Remembrance
“I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.”
Isaiah 43:25, 26

When it comes to the things that God has done for us, He desires that we remind Him of these things. When we do that and make the declarations that He commands us to, He doesn’t get upset. He is very pleased. In this Scripture He has said that He has blotted out our sins for His own sake. He did that so that He could exercise the privilege of blessing us. If you have been in guilt and condemnation over some sin of the past that you have asked Him forgiveness for, stop it right now. Go to the Lord and declare to Him what He said in this Scripture…declare and be justified!

Can God Count On You?
“Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?

We have a tendency to speak much about the faithfulness of God, and we should. We have Scriptures all over the Bible that declare how faithful God is and how we can rely on His faithfulness. However, God and other men are in search of and deeply in need of men who can be found faithful. A person who can be counted faithful and trustworthy in these times is a treasure. What will you decide about being faithful and reliable to God and to others? If you will follow God in the Word and feed on His faithfulness, you will find yourself becoming just as He is. We need faithful people in the body of Christ.

There Is A Treasure Inside of You
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” 2 Corinthians 4:6

Always keep this fact in mind: inside of you is the very glory of God Himself. Everything that makes God Who He is on your inside! His ability, His goodness, His compassion, character and everything else that identifies Him as God. According to this Scripture, one of the purposes of this “Treasure” being inside of the believer is so that the greatness of the power that we walk in may be seen to be of God and not of us. Search out Scriptures that speak of the Glory of God. Begin to declare from your mouth God’s ability and goodness revealed in and through you. You will witness awesome things happen in your life.

Strength To Press On
“That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.”
 Ephesians 3:16

Outer physical strength is great to have. However, in order to be able to stand strong for the Lord and resist the temptations and opportunities to be discouraged, we must experience the Lord’s strength from the inside. It is both scriptural and beneficial to pray and believe the Father to strengthen you mightily on the inside.

Come Boldly!
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 4:16

The mind of every believer must be renewed to the fact that he or she has an open invitation to the Throne of Grace. The Presence of the Father is a place that we are to feel welcome. We are to respect the Lord, and yet at the same time we are to accept His invitation to come to His Throne with anything that we have need of and EXPECT TO FIND HIS GRACE AND FAVOR TO HELP US IN OUR TIME OF NEED. Decide right now not to allow satan nor an un-renewed mind to keep you from receiving from the Father, in the Name of Jesus.

If Any Man Sin
“My little children, these things write I unto you that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” 1 John 2:1

The Apostle John, by the Holy Spirit declares to us why he wrote what he wrote: so that we do not sin. There is power in the revelation of this New Testament, that through the power of the word of God we can live without sin. Continual fellowship with the Father is a very vital element of walking free from sin. IF, and I reiterate if (just because the Bible emphasizes it) we sin, we have an advocate in Jesus Christ the righteous Who will forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. It is time for us to change our consciousness from that of being dominated by sin to that of being dominated by righteousness so that we are able, by the power of God, to live victoriously over sin.

Sin Shall Not Dominate You
“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace.” Romans 6:14

This Scripture comes as a real revelation to many of us: sin shall not dominate a Believer. God’s plan of redemption for us did not make any provision for sin to control us. However, we must learn things about our redemption such as being one-spirit with the Lord, understanding the ministry of the Holy Spirit within us, the power that comes from the abiding Word, who we are in Christ and the fact that we have been redeemed from the curse, just to name a few. As a Christian, the resurrection power of God Almighty resides in you. It is the same power that raised Christ from the dead. If that power raised Christ from the dead (and it did), then it certainly can be used to keep sin from having dominion over us in this life.

Bending Your Ear Towards Wisdom
“My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; so that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding…” Proverbs 2:1-2

Receiving wisdom from God is not as complicated as one might think it to be. This Scripture teaches us the simplicity of the matter: receive the Word of God and hide His commandments inside of yourself. If we will hide His love commandment to us inside of our hearts, we are assured of His wisdom rising up into our minds in a usable form.

Watch Over Your Prayers
“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.”
Colossians 4:2

Taking the step to initiate prayer over a matter is very important. However, we must see our prayers through to manifestation. A major responsibility of ours in prayer is to be watchful. Thanksgiving is an important part of that. When we are thankful, we are keeping that prayer alive. Being thankful lets both us and the Lord know that the prayer offered was and is a heart-felt prayer; one that we consider to be important because we won’t allow it to die. Thanksgiving helps keep the pathway of receiving open by stifling satanic interference where our prayer is concerned. Thanksgiving keeps us in a place of being able to receive the Holy Spirit’s voice and wisdom for anything we may need to do to cooperate with the answer.

None of These Things Move Me
“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.”
Acts 20:24

There is a place in God where a man or woman of God can be so in love with the Lord and finishing the work that God has for them to do that they are not distracted by anything else. They are so focused that no test, no trial, no adversity, no blessing or anything else can move them off course. They come to a place where they trust God so much with what He wants done, that they don’t even count their own life dear to themselves. This is the secret to running your course with joy and finishing what God has for you to do. It would seem that a small number of believer’s have been able to run this course, however, it is available. One must fall deeply in love with Jesus Christ.

There is Medicine for You
“For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”
Proverbs 4:22

A Christian in need of healing and health has help from the Word of God. As a matter of fact, this Scripture tells us that the Word of God is “medicine” for our whole bodies. I can receive a prescription, if you will, from the Lord concerning my health and healing. Take the Scriptures on health and healing and find time every day to feed on them. God promises life and health to those who find His Word on health and healing.

He Won’t Leave You Hanging
“For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.” Romans 10:11

There are some of us who are afraid to believe the Father for certain things in our lives because we think that we won’t receive what we want or need; we fear being ashamed. However, the one who is truly walking in faith before God has no need to fear being ashamed. God promises that that will not happen. It will take dedication, though. And it will take seeking the Lord and staying before Him in prayer and in the Word so that you can stay in tune with Him and the direction that He wants to guide us in. It will require one to also abide in the Word; thereby maintaining that vital connection with the Lord and increasing in strength in the inner man. If we truly believe, He won’t leave you hanging.

Here I Am, Send Me
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
Isaiah 6:8

What a joy it must have been to the Lord to hear one of His own respond in this way to something that He needed to be done. Let’s challenge ourselves today. Let us make ourselves available to the Lord for whatever it is that He needs done in the earth. Don’t stand idly by and watch the church and the kingdom of God move slowly because others won’t respond to the Lord. Say, “Lord, here I am, send me.” If the Lord has another plan, at least you have shown your heart by making yourself available.

What Is My Purpose?
Many times we as believer’s search and search for our calling or our purpose. Let me help you make it simple: search the Scriptures, looking for God’s purpose as He desires to fulfill it in Christ. When we can see what God’s desires are for the church in Christ, then we will see what our purpose is. When we see these things, then any specifics that God has for us individually will become increasingly clear to us because we will be able to see ourselves in God’s purpose…and that’s all that really matters. The following Scriptures will help us.

Ephesians 1:9-12
Ephesians 3:1-11
Ephesians 4:1-16
Philippians 1:9-11
Colossians 1:26-29

No Murmuring
“Do all things without murmurings and disputing…”
 Philippians 2:14

There are times, I am sure, that every one of us does not like something that is going on, or, maybe at work we are asked to do something that we don’t want to do. If we are not watchful, we can fall off into an attitude that is not good. We begin murmuring, complaining and arguing or disputing about the issue. The Scripture exhorts us not to do any of those things. Maintaining a proper attitude keeps us in a position of being blameless and harmless, those who leave no reason for themselves to be rebuked and who shine as lights in the world. Out proper attitude in these situations makes us a witness for good for our God.

Help Each Other
“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2

The Bible teaches us that we are to make ourselves available to help our brothers and sisters in Christ. We are to help “shoulder one another’s loads.” Jesus made Himself available (Matthew 11:28-30) and He is showing us that we are to do the same. When a brother or sister is carrying a heavy load, at least make yourself available to help. If that person is willing to receive your help, you both will witness an awesome work of the Lord in behalf of you both.

Perfect Guidance
“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21

The Father tells us that He will lead us by the Holy Spirit. If we are willing and desirous of it, we will find the Spirit of God leading us in the right direction every single time in every area of our lives. If we will practice fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit and make it a habit of asking Him to guide us, we will find ourselves becoming inwardly sensitive to the courses of action that we take. If we make a turn to the right or to the left that is not right, we will sense His voice telling us the proper path to take.
