APRIL 20

What’s That You Said?
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21
The words of our mouths carry much power. As a matter of fact, this Scripture teaches us that the power of death and life resides in our tongues. It is very important for us to pay attention to what we are saying. As people of God, we want to say things that are in line with life, not death. As we study the Bible and what it says about our words, we find out that what we put in our hearts is the determining factor for what comes out of our mouths. What we listen to, see with our eyes and revolve in our minds on a consistent basis is what shapes our speech. Let’s make the right connection with Philippians 4:8.

Scripture reading: Philippians 4:6-8; Luke 6:43-45; James 3
