APRIL 6

Search It Out
“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:10-11

It is very easy to just receive anything that any one says about the Word. It is also very easy to, at face value, doubt or disagree with the Word that we hear. These people of Berea were very special in their attitude. They took what they heard and DAILY searched things out to see if what they were being told was so. In order to grow and receive true revelation from the Word for ourselves, this is the kind of attitude that we will have to have.

Scripture reading: John 5:39; 2 Timothy 2:15
