JANUARY 10

Two Important Things About
Faith In God
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him”
Hebrews 11:6

Our living connection to God is through His Word and through the Holy Spirit Who lives inside of us. When we approach God in any area and for any thing, we must first believe that He exists; exists not only as a Person, but that He exists as the God of that need or situation. We will be able to see that through both the Word of God and the times in the past in which we trusted Him. Secondly, we must believe that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. To diligently seek Him means that we search Him out by means of worship and prayer; we crave Him as we would something that we desire. Then, we must dedicate ourselves to that kind of trust and worship, knowing that God is faithful.

Scripture reading: Jeremiah 29:11-14; Psalm 27:7-8, 14
