JANUARY 16

Consider Jesus
“For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.” Hebrews 12:3

We all face opposition and challenging times, but none of us in our everyday circumstances has ever faced what Jesus did in paying the price for our sin. The Bible tells us that when we feel like throwing in the towel and quitting, that we should look at the example that Jesus set for us. If we follow this instruction, there is one major thing (among other things) that it will do for us: it will keep us from quitting in our own minds. Adversity attempts to break us down from the inside. Satan attempts to pressure us with so much that we decide, IN OUR MINDS, not to fight anymore. ONCE WE MAKE UP OUR MINDS TO QUIT, WE HAVE LOST THE BATTLE. We allow that to happen because we look at and think on the wrong things. Considering Jesus will help us CHOOSE NOT TO QUIT!

Scripture reading: Hebrews 6:11, 12; James 1:2-4
