Don’t Fold Under Pressure
“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”
Proverbs 24:10

Have you ever noticed that after you have made a decision to pray and believe the Word for something, determine to make a change, or just do the right thing, that pressure arises? If we don’t understand what is going on, it can throw us for a loop. The Bible teaches us a principle that we must remember for as long as we are in this world: when the Word of God is sown, satan and this world system will apply pressure to our mental and physical lives in an attempt to get us to back off of our commitment (Mark 4:14-20). Being rooted and grounded in God’s love for us, being steadfast and resting in the finished work of Christ are vital components of our faith in these times of pressure (Ephesians 3:16-19; James 1:2-4; 1 Peter 5:6-10; Ephesians 1:3). Whenever we feel pressure, we must learn to apply pressure against our opposing forces rather than becoming discouraged, depressed and irritable of other people. If we will learn to use what the Father has given us, we will keep ourselves in a position to receive and…not fold under the pressure.

Scripture reading: 1 Peter 4:12; James 4:7; 1 Timothy 6:12
